Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Humanities Teacher lessons, primarily focusing on either History or Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking, inquiry, and a deeper understanding of the human experience and the world.
• Assess and monitor student progress in Humanities, providing insightful feedback to support their learning and development in the chosen specialism.
• Contribute to the development of the Humanities curriculum and resources within the school.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in History or Geography.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Humanities (History and/or Geography) at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• A strong and comprehensive knowledge of either historical concepts and periods or geographical concepts and processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring a passion for the humanities in students.
