Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum, helping students develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, and beyond.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel valued, confident, and excited to learn.
- Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their best.
- Use innovative and creative teaching strategies to make learning fun and accessible for all students.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure cohesive curriculum delivery and share best practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them updated on student progress and address any concerns.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, school activities, and staff meetings to enhance your teaching practice.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, with a focus on Year 1 or similar primary experience.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for working with young children and a commitment to creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Ability to differentiate teaching and adapt to the individual needs of students.
