Your Role as a Year 5 Teacher

As our new Year 5 Teacher, you will:
✅ Plan and deliver engaging lessons that build on core skills and prepare students for Year 6.
✅ Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel confident to participate.
✅ Develop strong literacy and numeracy skills, helping pupils deepen their understanding and apply their learning in meaningful ways.
✅ Monitor and assess student progress, using data to provide targeted support and challenge.
✅ Foster a growth mindset and encourage students to take responsibility for their learning.
✅ Work collaboratively with the KS2 team to enhance teaching and learning across the year group.
✅ Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to support each child's academic and personal development.

What We’re Looking For

✔ A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
✔ Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in a Year 5 setting.
✔ A strong understanding of the upper KS2 curriculum and strategies to support progression.
✔ A creative and engaging teaching style that excites and motivates learners.
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to collaborate.
✔ A commitment to creating an inclusive and high-achieving learning environment.
