What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating exciting lessons: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that foster a love for learning in Year 1 students, covering literacy, numeracy, and creative subjects.
- Supporting development: Help young learners develop key skills and confidence as they transition from EYFS to Key Stage 1.
- Creating a positive classroom: Build a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
- Tracking progress: Assess student progress regularly, provide meaningful feedback, and set clear goals to help each child grow and succeed.
- Collaborating with colleagues: Work closely with other teachers and staff to share best practices and deliver an inspiring and well-rounded curriculum.
- Communicating with parents: Maintain strong relationships with parents, keeping them updated on their child’s progress and addressing any concerns.
- Engaging in professional development: Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events to continue developing your skills as an educator.
Who We’re Looking For
- A qualified Year 1 Teacher with experience or a passion for working with younger students.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A good understanding of the National Curriculum and how to deliver effective lessons in Year 1.
- A team player who loves to collaborate and share creative ideas.
- A positive and friendly communicator who can build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Someone committed to continuous professional development and making a difference in the lives of young learners.
