Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 2.
- Support students in building strong literacy and numeracy skills, ensuring readiness for Key Stage 2.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear learning targets.
- Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a love for learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to ensure high-quality curriculum delivery.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities as required.
Year 2 Teacher Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and KS1 assessments.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A team-oriented approach and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and best teaching practices.
