Are you an enthusiastic Maths Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who require a more personalised and supportive learning environment? A supportive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Newham is seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join their dedicated team in April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a small group of students and help them build their confidence and skills in Maths.

Your Role as a Maths Teacher:

🔹 Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
🔹 Provide one-on-one and small-group support to help students build confidence and achieve in Maths.
🔹 Create personalised learning plans that focus on students' strengths and areas for development.
🔹 Encourage a growth mindset in students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
🔹 Collaborate with colleagues, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure students receive the support they need.
🔹 Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Who We’re Looking For:

✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching Maths.
✅ Passion for working with vulnerable students and helping them achieve in their education.
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with students, parents, and colleagues.
✅ Creative and adaptable teaching approach to engage students with varying learning needs.
✅ Experience in working with students with SEMH, additional needs, or challenging behaviours is desirable.
✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
