About the Role:
This fixed-term role requires a highly capable Chemistry Teacher to deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5 (A-Level). You will be responsible for fostering a love of science and ensuring all students reach their full potential. The role demands a proactive approach to teaching and learning, with a focus on student progress and achievement.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or substantial experience teaching Chemistry within the independent sector.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality Chemistry lessons.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Chemistry.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- A commitment to student success and differentiated instruction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging Chemistry lessons to a range of abilities.
- Assessing student work and providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to support achievement.
- Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, attainment, and progress.
- Contributing to the development of the Science curriculum.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices.
- Communicating effectively with parents/guardians.
- Adhering to all school policies, including safeguarding procedures.
